I was excited to be told that to made a light-electronic song for Lok Yan Ming, she invited me herself by a phone call…
I would say this is one of a boldest work with KOLOR, I had purchase some jungle and DnB loops for some part of the song, used various saw leads and 8, 16 even 32 arpeggios, synth guitar synth pad even dubstep robot synth.
I got Keni's melodies and lyrics at first and work on the beat, using "MUZAK" kind of mood with oldskool kits and DJ sketching/vinyl noise and stuff. Lyrics and content are the highlights.
Thanks for the SONY ATV songwriting camp, the camp was held in last year 2016 October in Taipei, the song finally pitched to Amei.

Now finally, Fabel is releasing the new album today.
Featuring 90's music elements like vinyl scratching, EP, wet vocal, trip-hop beats.
But also adding vocal sampling as a part of beat, nothing better than that in 2017.
Lolo also get involved in the composing part, making a new singing style call "Sterise"

A song that never get bored even listened it for almost hundred times when it was still in the demo progress. It touched me many times, during the whole production period. We got the inspiration then we move on step by step and finally we're here, releasing it.
It was one of the great experience for me to co-op production with someone frequently, I used to on my own for most of my production process.
It was a really exciting project in 2017, working with Bert and Vicky was just amazing. Of course there were some challenges during the rearrange production process, gained a special, great experience on it. Once I thought we would never archive or getting close to the original one (which it was very very marvellous), but still when I heard the final version, it totally amazed me.
It was one of the co-op production project. We worked on arrangement together, I got the melody and the beat roughly, then I developed and fine-tuned the beat and the rest of the synth
Second plug of 2017 for Fabel. Heavy rock influenced with synth lead around (mainly triangle wave), drum kits with distorted efx and awkward vocal sampling. With choir, brass and strings (hidden horn) at the last part as the climax. (I'm not an uploader tho, I don't really live in 21st Century :-/)
Keni would be another inspiration input of my music career. I would say this song is our first real collaboration. Look, the synth of this intro, I would say it was my biggest, most important invention of 2016, I named it "Telesine", I twisted it from a sine wave, worked on ADSR, combined 2 different sine waves to enhance the sounding, thicker and smoother. I already use it widely on my recent works, maybe it becomes my signature sound (at least for this few years, maybe)
The arrangement was quite simple, comparing with my other works. I use sine wave for different layers, as a lead, as a pad. Use sidechain obviously, added strings as usual.
Should be one of my favorite song. Among all the demos I work in 2016, it should be one of the best. Mixture with PB RnB, Electronic and Pop elements, filled with dark and dynamic arrangement. Highly using vocal sampling. I wasn't productive enough on 2016, so it made this song a gem.

I would say it's a little bit challenge at first but enjoy it afterward.
When everything build up, I started playing around and try different ideas.
When I heard the final mix, the strings part really got me, 孔奕佳's strings re-arrangment just stunned me.

Working with Takuya and 林承佑. Takuya from a Japanese band "Judy and Mary"
I was kind of worry about working with a such talented and serious musician (stereotype on how Japanese working attitude) Takuya is a super sick guy, come up with many unpredicable ideas. Me and 林承佑 working on lyrics and arrangement (although the final product was revised)
I was amazed that the final product sound this way, more like MUSE. (original sounds more gothic)

During a week rehearsal and practicing, I'm pushing myself to one step further.
It's like my first time playing up to 30 songs for a show, it's just like fighting the last boss in the game, but I had fun, we all had fun, enjoyed it a lot. Nice stage design with lots of heart and ideas with the rundown.
