Terra : LandeScape
J1M3 has a deep passion for astrology and began developing an ambitious long-term project in 2022 titled “One Planet, One Album.”
In 2023, he launched the first chapter of the series with the concept album Terra: LandeScape, inspired by the landscapes of Earth. The album features five bilingual tracks (Cantonese and English), co-written with his close friend Lillian Wong.
樹海 JYUKAI
"Lost in the Woods" is a captivating single from the album "TERRA:LANDESCAPE" that has transcended language barriers since its initial release. The English version, launched in 2022, set the stage for a musical journey that would span three languages over the course of three years.
In 2023, J1M3 released a Cantonese version “樹海”, bringing its emotive lyrics and melody to a new audience. The following year, 2024, saw the debut of a Japanese rendition, completing a trilingual trifecta that showcases the song's universal appeal.
Each version of "Lost in the Woods" is accompanied by its own unique music video, visually interpreting the song's themes of emotional exploration and self-discovery. These videos not only complement the linguistic diversity of the releases but also provide distinct visual narratives that resonate with viewers across different cultures.
This multilingual approach to "Lost in the Woods" demonstrates the artist's commitment to connecting with a global audience, allowing listeners from various backgrounds to experience the song's powerful message in their native tongues.
24 - HALLEY (J1M3 Remix)
Following a cross-cultural friendship sparked in Shibuya, I was honored to remix "24" for the Japanese band HALLEY.
Inspired by the track’s connection to Hong Kong and astrological themes of the 24-hour cycle, this remix reimagines the original through shifting atmospheres of light and shadow.
Departing from my recent focus on live arrangements, I pushed my creative boundaries by integrating diverse genres into a cinematic, high-energy progression. The result is a dynamic sonic journey, described by the team as a "rollercoaster of emotions" that marks a significant milestone in my production portfolio.
Event Highlights:
Celestial Unboxed
J1M3’s unique background and passion naturally inspired him to present a concert about the Four Elements of astrology. As a music creative director, he envisioned a performance that could merge symbolism, storytelling, and contemporary sound.
In November 2024, he curated Celestial Unboxed, a show designed to explore the creative chemistry between pop astrology and pop music.
In the astrological universe, the Four Elements hold a place of great significance. Beyond the twelve zodiac signs — each belonging to one of the four elements, the planets that influence us, including the Sun and Moon, are also classified within these elemental groups. The elements that shape each individual’s inner nature are Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, each carrying its own symbolic qualities and energetic expression.
For this concert, J1M3 invited four vocalists, Zelos Wong, Kendy Suen, Zeno Koo and Jaime Cheung, each with a distinct artistic identity and elemental resonance, to embody the different temperatures and emotional tones of the Four Elements. Whether performing well-known hits or their own original songs, every piece was re-arranged and re-imagined through the elemental theme, offering the audience a fresh sonic landscape and a new way to experience these songs.
